Postpartum Care

“may the Mother, in full radiance, be exalted

exalt the Mother

exalt the Mother

exalt the Mother”

- Taryn Mackay

“Postpartum” is the time following any pregnancy. All around the world we find ancient postpartum traditions that share common components: a period of extended rest, warmth, nourishing foods and body work. These traditions are rooted in our natural design as humans. The longterm health of women + children is dependent on proper care in the postpartum.

In our current times, we are REMEMBERING this need, but there is a massive gap in available care.  I am here to help fill that gap and provide highly specialized in-home care in the early postpartum. I am also here to help organize your family + community to support you during this time, because it truly takes a village.

As a society we have to remember the sacredness of this time. We have to recognize and honor the TOTAL transformation that happens through gestation and birth. When mothers are seen, held, and cared for during the postpartum, they will emerge rejuvenated and empowered to guide the next generation.

“It is through the bodies of mothers that

society is being alerted to the urgent need for change.”

- Rachelle Seliga, Innate Traditions

WHAT IS POSTPARTUM CARE?

Care for mothers focuses on physical recovery and emotional, mental, and spiritual support. Through gestation and birth, women are stretched to their capacity on every single level.

Having a baby is a rite of passage, and the postpartum is an ESSENTIAL time of integration of all that comes up through gestation and birth. I support mothers to deeply bond with their babies, process and heal from their experience, and learn to trust their intuitive mothering.
